Riding on Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan’s half-centuries, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a mammoth 191 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs against Delhi Daredevils .
The defending champions went off to a poor start with their in-form skipper David Warner departing after scoring just 4. But Shikhar Dhawan and Williamson then took care of the innings and sent the Delhi bowlers on a leather hunt with a massive partnership of 136 runs. Williamson, who replaced Mohammad Nabi in the playing eleven, was surprisingly the more aggressive batsman while his partner Dhawan was looking content by playing the second-fiddle.
Williamson completed his fifty in only 33 balls while Dhawan reached the 50-run mark in 40 balls. The partnership was finally broken when a Williamson was dismissed by Chris Morris. The New Zealand skipper scored 89 runs off just 51 balls with the help of six fours and 5 maximums. Dhawan then hit some big shots to keep the scoreboard ticking before offering a catch to Angelo Mathews to depart for 70. Deepak Hooda and Moises Henriques then scored 17 runs off the final over to help the title-holders close their innings on a strong note.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Williamson’s knock and the SRH innings:

* Tej Bahadur got suspended
* Sonu Nigam shaved head suddenly
* Dhawan scored in 2 digits— Property Nonstop (@propertynonstop) April 19, 2017
Been a fan of Zaheer's captaincy but not tonight. Having Mathews to bowl 16-18th is a serious miscalculation. #SRHvDD #IPL

As a VFM (Value For Money) player in the IPL, Chris Morris must be in the top 3 — if not no.1!
— Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) April 19, 2017
Chris Morris in this IPL:
With the Bat: 38* runs in 9 Balls
With the Ball: 4/26
Both the innings delivered when needed the most!

4 wickets fell in SRH's innings and all 4 were taken by Chris Morris. Conceded 26 runs in 4 overs, most economical bowler as well. #SRHvDD
