Narayanaswami Srinivasan will reportedly cherish the support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the forthcoming board elections. On 3rd February, Narayanaswami Srinivasan met with the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) chief Arun Jaitley, who is also the Union finance minister of India. According to Mumbai Mirror, he secured his reinforce for the polls.

Narayanaswami Srinivasan needs a total of sixteen votes to win the poll. Since 12 state associations are under the control of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he has secured that votes already. It is likely that even Tamil Nadu Cricket Association will support in his favour which means Narayanaswami Srinivasan will just requires 3 votes to be restore.

FirstPost reported, the Supreme Court has stated that Narayanaswami Srinivasan will have to select between his post in Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Chennai Super Kings. The Supreme Court had also indicated that Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are not allowed to have their way in terms of whom to penalize.
