IPL 2017: KKR Vs DD Match Meter - Match Prediction 1

Overview –

Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils will face each other on April 28 at Eden gardens in Kolkata. The same ground where Kolkata conquered Royal Challengers Bangalore and packed them out for a mere score of 49. None of the RCB batsmen could even touch the double-figure mark, which shows the dominating behaviour of the pitch which spoke in favour of pace bowlers of the home side.

Delhi Daredevils will have an onerous task in the game against KKR as already the team is placed at the second last position with four losses in their account.

They have to win the game in a quest to keep the hopes of qualifying for the next round alive or they might be ruled out of the tournament.

KKR, on the other side, will look to continue to continue the good habit which is the winning habit so as to sustain their position in the top two of the points table

View on think tank –

KKR think-tank has been very lucky as the actions taken by them have never looked going wrong, whereas few of the steps taken by Delhi Daredevils think tank are baffling and puzzling.

Starting from not opening the innings with Rishabh Pant to making him bat number five. Dropping a consistent Shahbaz Nadeem, continuing with Karun Nair and much more. The coaching staff is yet to figure out there performing players, as a result, they are placed in the second last position on the points table.

They have to make some tough calls and have to rejig the side, eliminating the non-performing candidates.

Positives –

The biggest but only positive that came out in the last match of Delhi Daredevils was the way that Kagiso Rabada and Chirs Morris batted after the collapse of the batting order. Though they could not get their team past the winning total but they way they batted, it showed that DD have depth in the batting line-up that can step up if needed.

For KKR, everything they have done till now has come out as a positive one for them. They have got results in their favour – which they will look to continue in the season ahead.

Probably line up  –

Delhi Daredevils: Sanju Samson, Sam Billings, Karun Nair, Shreyas Iyer, Rishab Pant (wk), Kagiso Rabada, Chris Morris, Pat Cummins, Amit Mishra, Mohammed Shami, Zaheer Khan (c)

Head to head-

Both the teams met each other in Delhi earlier this season and riding on Manish Pandey’s heroics, the team was able to chase down the target in the last over of the game.

Prediction:

Kolkata Knight Riders seem to be the favourite side out of the two due to their current form and the way their players are performing.

Toss though will have an important role as it will have an important say but this season we have seen few of the teams breaking this trend and have won the games despite losing the toss. KKR itself defeated RCB in their last home game despite losing the coin toss.
