On Monday South African pace bowler Kyle Abbott has confessed their pursue against Sri Lanka in the warm-up match there got a little bit too proximate for comfort as they defeated the Sri Lanka  by 5 wickets with 3 balls remaining via the Duckworth Lewis (DL) method.

Abbott said that they were “counting every run” as an old foe “rain” played peek-a-boo with the squads.

They came into the warm-up matches with a justly open mind to get players out in the middle but as soon as the match reached at a tight stage, it was amazing how one could feel the change rhythm shift. They were counting down every run, the 27 years old said.

He added it was quite good to get some tough cricket out of a warm-up match with the Asian islanders which can drift and become quite boring. The players were behind every run and they needed to get the victory it as much as any other match.

South-Africa lost in the semi-finals to England as there was no Duckworth Lewis (DL) method in 1992. A 12-minute rain delay reconsider the target for the Proteas, as they required 22 runs of just 1 ball.
