The last few months have been highlighted by the steep rise of Delhi wicketkeeper-batsman Rishab Pant. There was a precise reason behind the young talent being rated so highly by the legends of the game. The youngster just proved it out at the Feroz Shah Kotla, in an absolute thrashing of the Gujarat Lions bowlers. Chasing a steep target of an excess of 200, Pant along with the ever gorgeous Sanju Samson, made a complete mockery of the asking rate and literally strolled home.
Pant played a knock that has rarely been witnessed in the IPL before. The ferociousness with which he thrashed the Gujarat bowlers isn’t so common for a young batsman who has played just one international match so far.
