Individual brilliance of a batsman on a given day is quite common in the world of cricket. But there are very rare instances where a complete team showed their brilliance to outclass the opposition by all means. Such instances are the ones in which the entire team gels well to pile up runs at ease.
Here we present the highest scores ever managed by a single team in First Class cricket:

There are only two instances in the history of cricket where a team managed to put up a score of 1000 runs or more. Interestingly, Victoria is the team in both instances. They both came on the same Melbourne Cricket Ground (Ground).
There are nine instances in which a team managed to put a score of 900 and above. Interestingly, it happened in international cricket too with SriLanka piling up 952 runs at Colombo against India in 1997 with Jayasuriya scoring his career best of 340.
The 912 runs managed by Tamil Nadu against Goa consisted of 52 penalty runs at panaji during 1988-89 season. There are 34 other instances in which a team managed to put a score of 800 or above. The most recent instance happened in 2008-09 season where Victoria declared their innings at 806/8.
