Australian cricketer and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell told bluffing is a key weapon of his bowling and he always tries to imitate spin legend Shane Warne in his bid to swindle batsmen. Maxwell has been in blazing form, scoring 95 runs and picking up 4 wickets for 46 runs in Perth in the One Day International (ODI) tri series finale against England on 1st February. He continued his threatening form, hitting 122 runs off 57 balls in an International Cricket Council Cricket World Cup 2015 warm-up match against India at Adelaide Oval on 8th February. Australia will start their Cup crusade against England on 15th February at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The 26 years old is anticipated to play a main part in the co-hosts push for a record 5th World Cup title.
He said that one can bluff. He thinks he has done that with his bowling beautifully. Glenn Maxwell has 28 wickets in 41 One Day Internationals at an average of 38.03 till now. He does not think he is Shane Warne but he still seem to get wickets at some levels which is an total miracle to him “If you can bluff people and exert that confidence that you are in form, it’s amazing how it turns around for you.”
Maxwell said former players Geoff Marsh, Ian Healy and Craig McDermott have motivated the team. He cannot describe how exciting it is. Probably he can give that little spark that Australia requirements, he signed off.
