In major news coming from Spanish media, it has been understood that Dani Alves has snubbed a huge £15.6 Million contract offer at both Arsenal and Manchester United in a favor to move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims that Dani Alves has made up his mind and has even informed his Barcelona team-mates that Paris will be his new destination. Alves will play for PSG from the 2015-16 season. The news will come as a major disappointment for both Arsenal and Manchester United who were belived to be close in securing Alves’s signature.

Barcelona’s rampaging full-back has only six months left on his contract and he will move on a free transfer if Barcelona do not offer him a new contract, which is looking like as the more likely situation. Alves has demanded a three year contract from Barcelona which has been turned down by the Catalan club.

It can be understood that Alves’s decision to join PSG is based on the number Brazilians at the PSG. Dani Alves will have his International team-mates Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Maxwell, Lucas Moura and David Luiz for company and Alves believes that is what he needs at this time of his career where he is perhaps looking to seal one last big transfer before his career sees a steady downfall.

Alves is 31 right now and has at least couple of years left in him to play at the highest level. PSG have been on a mission of bringing the very best at Parc des Princes and with Alves signing for the French side, it will further enhance their credibility in the European market.

Meanwhile, PSG are braced for a huge £60 Million bid from Manchester United for the services of their star striker Edinson Cavani. It is widely known that Cavani has not been able to settle in Paris and needs a move away from the club. Man United are looking to provide Cavani his escape route from the French side.
