Pakistan Cricketer Smashes Triple Century To Script History 1

Pakistan cricketer Bilal Irshad, who plays for Shaheed Alam Bux Cricket Club has stitched his name into the record books after playing a breezy marathon knock of 175-ball 320 runs during the ongoing 2017 Inter-Club Cricket Championship, as the fans witnessed the battering of the bowlers.

The hard-hitting sensation Irshad had smashed 42 boundaries and nine sixes against Al Rehman Cricket Club at Shikarpur in Sindh which further witnessed significant stroke-making from the youngster.

Interestingly, the 2017 Fazal Mahmood tournament is being played under the aegis of Pakistan Cricket Board.

The opening batsman knitted 364 runs for the second wicket alongside Zakir Hussain, who scored 91-ball 135 while bludgeoning the opposition bowler which further saw Shaheed Alam Bux Club posting the total of 556 in the allotted 50 overs.

While trying to chase the highly improbable target of 557, Al Rehman Club was bundled out for 145 in 32 overs, as they lost the match by the massive margin of 411 runs.

The highest score for Al Rehman club was their opening batsman Sajjad Ali, who scored 60 off 49 balls as other batters fell like the pack of cards.

The reports suggested that it’s believed to be the familiar sight as Irshad has scripted history to smash triple hundred in 50-over Pakistan which is being seen as one of the best individual innings in the country itself, as there is no proper record available, particularly in the club format.

The Fazal Mahmood Championship has been launched to nurse the raw talent across Pakistan which further is being initiated across different districts in the country to provide the platform to youngsters to brighten their foreseeable future in the cricket.

“The initiative is engaging as many as 98 districts throughout the country. Matches are currently being staged in 30 districts, the tournament is set to engage club players and aims to revive club cricket in the country with a massive campaign which is previously unmatched,” PCB release earlier stated on the launch of the tournament.

The 26-year-old batsman Irshad has been the part of Hyderabad, Larkana Bulls and Hyderabad Hawks in the domestic circuit.

However, the stat doesn’t seem that good in his player profile. Irshad has played seven first-class matches in which he has scored 121 runs at an average of 10.08. He has also played a solitary List A game and two Twenty20 matches.

However, in the limited-overs cricket, the record is held by S. Sankruth Sriram of Tamil Nadu for JSS International School, who had smashed unbeaten 486 in the Nilgiris District Cricket Association Under-16 Inter-School cricket tournament in 2014 against Hebron school.

The-then 15-year-old Sriram battered the bowlers while playing for Azhar Hassan Memorial Rolling Trophy.
