Chelsea manager claims there is a campaign against his side and it involves all the referees, rival managers, media and commentators. As per Mourinho’s wild theory, all are against Chelsea and are trying to hamper his side’s chances of winning the league this season.

Well, Chelsea fans might buy the idea as it is coming from their manager and in his unique way, Mourinho thinks he can convince people to buy his philosophy but at the end of the day those people buying his thoughts are only the Chelsea fans.

Post his campaign claims, Mourinho decided to boycott the media completely and skipped the pre-match and post-match interviews with the media, reason being he was crossed with FA’s decision of banning Diego Costa for his stamp on Liverpool’s Emre Can.

Post the ban, Costa was punished and was forced to miss the crucial game against Manchester City and subsequently two more league games. Ever since then, Mourinho has been going on and on and on about there being a campaign against Chelsea. Wake up Jose, if there were to be a campaign against Chelsea and refs decide to be against your side, you would not be sitting at the top in the Premier League.

People who have followed Mourinho’s career from FC Porto to Chelsea to Inter Milan to Real Madrid and again back to Chelsea would recall that Jose has this habit of shifting the attention from his players to himself and making sure his players are kept away from the firing line. This time however Jose has managed to bring the fire within his own side and it really threatens to burn Chelsea’s season and blow it in smoke.

Jose’s cry of Campaign must stop or else it will hurt Chelsea 1

Let’s analyse Chelsea’s performance after the campaign remarks made by their manager. A crushing and humiliating 5-3 defeat against Tottenham. A shocking exit from the FA cup & that too with a score line 4-2 against Bradford. Ironically in both of these games Chelsea scored first and enjoyed a lead.

I again ask all those people who have followed Mourinho’s career over the years, how often have you seen Mourinho’s side take a 1-0 lead and lose the game by giving away 4 or 5 goals to the opposing team? You would say never, but is happening now.

In the game against Aston Villa (2-1 win for Chelsea) as well, Chelsea led and gave away the lead and the pattern followed in game against PSG as well. This all happened not because Mourinho had Diego Costa missing or due to some other reason, it’s because his cry of campaign is getting to the minds of his players and they are reacting to situations when they should not be doing anything and focusing on their play. Jose is putting extra pressure on his players to deliver.

It is clearly affecting the atmosphere at the Chelsea football club. One thing is for sure that the Chelsea players will go to the world’s end to protect his manager’s words. Since Mourinho’s remarks, players like John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic have come out and defended their manager by indirectly hinting towards a campaign against Chelsea.

Jose’s cry of Campaign must stop or else it will hurt Chelsea 2

I have started to see a common theme to Chelsea’s games these days. Whenever there is a slight hint of foul, 4-5 Chelsea players start to surround the ref and demand the decision. It often gets heated and tensed and makes the player do something he would not do otherwise. In a such incidence, Ivanovic was lucky to escape FA’s punishment after the Serbian had grabbed James McCarthy by his neck in the Everton game.

What I have failed to fathom so far is that why the old Mourinho’s antics are getting back this season and why not previous season, oh I forgot he labelled himself as the Happy One. It’s happening this season because Chelsea have the glorious chance of winning the title. No Campaign was talked last season when they blew the chance to win the league. Mourinho slipped in his tactics last time and he is trying to keep his players focused by doing this stupid act. But it’s time to wake up Jose and realize you are doing your team more harm with this weird tactic of yours.

Mourinho’s behaviour has created a siege kind of mentality at Chelsea. He is approaching the games as if he is going to a war. He answers questions in the pre games interviews as if he is being asked for ransom. His attitude is getting worse and worse and it’s all because he is trying to back his claim of there being a campaign against his side.

What I feel is that, rather than being a campaign against Chelsea it’s a campaign by Mourinho against the media and rest of the world. If this act persists any longer, we will see Chelsea players losing their cool in vital matches, perhaps their main players will get sent off at crucial points and ultimately Chelsea players and the football club will pay the penalty for Jose Mourinho’s baseless rants at the media.
