2017 ICC Champions Trophy: I Have No Problem With Anil Kumble, People Are Making It An Issue - Virat Kohli 1

The news of a rift between Indian skipper Anil Kumble and Head Coach Anil Kumble spread fast and in no time, became the talk of the town.

From past one week, certain assumptions have been made regarding the news of Kohli leaving a practice session in Kumble’s presence to skipper calling him an overbearing coach.

For the first time, one of the two parties involved came into public domain and denied any sort of issue as ahead of the crunch game against Pakistan, skipper Virat Kohli while addressing the pre-match presser, denied any such news and called in a fake one and said,

“There are no problems whatsoever. People are trying to create a livelihood by making up issues. It’s been really good working with Anil Kumble.”

All that is coming out in the public domain, surely it has an impact on the performance of players and especially the captain, who is the centre of controversy. A question on how he handles such issues was a no-brainer and the skipper played it as brilliantly,

“I chose not to think about something so there is nothing to handle. In India, people lack patience and speculate a lot… That’s all we can say… We are focused on our livelihood (on the field). As a cricketer, we are focused on the Champions Trophy,” Kohli added.

With this, the Indian skipper has cleared the air surrounding the controversy and has shown that Indian team is eyeing the bull’s eye, rather being deviated by fake news spread in the market.

India takes on Pakistan in their first game of the tournament on June 4 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
