At a time when tension is only escalating with every passing day between India and Pakistan, Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh has shown the way with his heart-warming gesture during the ongoing match between the two arch-rivals at Edgbaston.
The incident took place in the 46th over of the Indian innings when Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz seemed to have injured his right ankle while bowling the penultimate ball of that over. As soon as the left-arm pacer delivered the ball, he went down and was grimacing in pain.
He immediately removed his shoes to check out his ankle and at that very moment, Yuvraj Singh won each and every heart with his sportsman spirit. Leaving behind the rivalry and the emotions, Yuvraj walked up to Riaz and checked on him. The bowler, meanwhile, could not complete the over as he walked off the ground.

Coming to the match, the defending champions rode on fine half-centuries from Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh to post a massive 319 for three in 48 overs(Overs reduced due to rain).
Rohit and Dhawan gave India a good start with a 136-run stand before the former and Kohli set the platform for a good total by adding 56 runs. India struggled to get going in the middle overs but Yuvraj Singh’s 32-ball 53 runs knock and Kohli’s late charge propelled the Men in Blue to the good total.
