Five games in this ICC Champions Trophy 2017 so far and already three of them have been rain-affected.
To make it worse, both games has been washed out which featured world champions Australia. Such has been the dismal state of this edition of the tournament, as inclement weather has made life incredibly hard for all cricket fans across the globe.
While rain pretty much saved them from a certain defeat against New Zealand, this time around the tables turned, as the weather robbed the Australians of a certain victory against Bangladesh. Needing just a bare minimum of four more overs in order to constitute an entire game, the Australians were left fuming, as rain returned after they were well in control at 83-1 in 16 overs.
Just 100 adrift from the actual target, Australia had already reached a point when they were ahead of the D/L par score after the end of the 20th over. However, rules being rules meant that no play was possible and thereby the game ended in a no result.
Group A now lies in the balance, as even now, all four teams can qualify for the semi-finals. The game between England and New Zealand will be very important.
Fans on Twitter were left fuming as the game ended in a no result and below are some of the tweets.
The #ChampionsTrophy2017 now has a problem. 2 games washed out, 3 one-sided results. Desperately needs a thriller.

If this game is called off, and Australia only get 1 point, again, they have a right to be mightily upset.

Doesn't matter who wins. This tournament is no where near judging who is champion of champions. Its all about who is the luckiest.
