Crazy Rumours: Juventus Target Barcelona Midfield Maestro This Summer 1

Italian giants Juventus managed to fend off a scare from some of the domestic rivals, to remain the undisputed Italian champions yet again this season.

They have been sensational this season, standing as one of the best teams in Europe last season as they also managed to step into the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Though they lost the competition at the end, they are now looking to improve on their squad for the next season, to help them achieve the trophy that has eluded them for some time now and reports today suggest that they will surf in the Spanish domestic league for additions to their midfield this summer.

According to reports from Spanish news outfit Marca, Massimiliano Allegri, who has now confirmed his stay in Turin, has decided to tempt Barcelona and Spanish legend Andres Iniesta to Juventus this summer.

The report also confirms that they will look at Sevilla star Steven N’Zonzi if they miss out on Iniesta before the start of the next season.

The 33-year old Barcelona man is easily one of the best midfielders to have even played the game.

He has won almost everything with club and country and could be tempted to face a new challenge in Italy.

He has just a year left on his contract and is expected to stay back to help Barcelona win the title back again but with Ernesto Valverde planning some new signings this summer, Iniesta may find game time even harder to come by next season.

He may not cost a lot as well, given his age and contract situation and might be the perfect man to help Juventus to a UCL title next season.

In the case of N’Zonzi, who has established himself as one of the best in the La Liga in recent times, Juventus are only looking at him as a backup.

The Italian giants wanted the Sevilla man in January for around €30m but it is now revealed that a bid of close to €40m will all but land him this summer.

N’Zonzi is decent but is hardly an upgrade over the likes of Miralem Pjanic already in the squad at Juventus.

So it will be interesting to see if Juventus go through with any of these deals.
