On screen, we saw that Imran Tahir’s wicket was a common one and all were surprised why he ran for a second run despite knowing the fact that the ball has gone at a position, where skipper MS Dhoni was deployed.
Kohli had set up a ploy to dismiss the batsman which even the number of cameras failed to catch but a fan in the stands did. It was the sharp mind of captain and smart act through which he induced the players on the crease to run for one more and then they got the run-out.
It was a shot played toward mid-wicket that Kohli instead of grabbing comfortably, developed a fake image that he has missed it and batsmen after watching this, ran for a second run but Kohli soon opened his trump card, grabbed the ball and threw it towards MS Dhoni, who took no time to make a contact between the ball and the stumps. Here is the video of smart piece of act from Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni –

The video shows that batsmen could have easily settled for one but Indian skipper sensed the casual approach in South Africa’s attitude and he tempted them to go for one more run and caught Tahir out of the crease.
A total of three run outs and a struggling batting line-up saw South Africa being bundled out on a mere score of 191, which the Indian team chased down with eight wickets in hands.
With this win, the defending champions qualified for the semi-final stage, to rule out South Africa out of the tournament.
