Pakistan had defeated Sri Lanka in a thrilling encounter by three wickets to secure themselves a spot in the semi-finals on Monday. Sri Lanka was too sloppy in the field which did cost them a place in the last four. Pakistan, however, held their nerves and emerged victorious in the must-win game at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
