Real Madrid are easily the best club in Europe in the current scenario as they have now been able to establish themselves as the Champions of Europe for the second season running.
They became the first team in the history to retain the UEFA Champions League trophy while also beating domestic rivals Barcelona to the La Liga title, winning it for the first time in three years.
Real have now on three of the last four Champions League campaigns and a lot of credit has to go to the recruitment committee of the club, who have been able to keep the club strong for more than a couple of years.
And it does not come as a surprise that they are taking this opportunity to further improve on the quality in the squad as they are expected to make some wholesale changes for the good this summer.

Zinedine Zidane, the current manager at the club is adamant to add some quality to his squad and has been linked with some of the best players in Europe.
He is also ready to let go of a few this summer and one player who is now no more a Real Madrid player is Portuguese star Pepe.
Having won the EURO16 in France for the national side, Pepe managed to lift the La Liga title and the Champions League title in the recently concluded season but Zidane believes that he is surplus to requirements and has not offered him a new contract.
He has now left the club as a free agent, which has come as a shock to many, including a few players at the Bernabeu itself.

Defender Dani Carvajal is one such player who has now come out and criticised the club for the way they handled the contract situation of the 34-year old who spent 10 seasons at the club.
Carvajal said, “He (Pepe) was here for 10 years, and he gave everything for this club,” in a recent interview.
“It’s a shame he wasn’t able to have a game at the Bernabeu where he could have received the ovation he deserves, and also that his goodbye has ended up being a little grey,” he added.
