17-year-ago, in the second edition of the ICC Champions Trophy, a 19-year old Yuvraj Singh had made his debut against Kenya and marked his arrival at the highest stage of the game with a stunning assault on the mighty Australia team in that tournament. And it is quite fitting that one of Indian greatest match-winners in the limited-overs format is making his 300th One-Day International appearance in this very tournament.
The 35-year old World Cup-winning star will join the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Mohammad Azharuddin and Sourav Ganguly, when he steps out on the field when Team India take on Bangladesh in the second semifinal of the Champions Trophy on Thursday (June 15). And to make the day memorable for the southpaw, he was been felicitated ahead of the game and what was even more special was that he received a memento from none other than Sourav Ganguly, who was the India captain when Yuvraj made his debut.
The ICC posted the felicitation video on their twitter handle.
