Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has suffered the wrath of Colombian fans after James Rodriguez’s incredible goal in their friendly against African giants Cameroon on Tuesday night.
The 44-year old has fallen out with the Colombian skipper as James Rodriguez was not even named in the match squad in the club’s Champions League against Juventus earlier this month.
Zidane has considered James Rodriguez as surplus to Real’s requirements last season as the attacking midfielder have clocked the least playing time in his career. Only Kiko Casilla, Pepe, Mariano and Coentrao played for lesser time in the squad last season.
The French tactician is currently on holiday after leading the club to La Liga success, their first since 2012 and their second successive Champions League title last season. He uploaded a picture with his wife in Italy earlier this week and the supporters of James Rodriguez has voiced their frustration on the post after the goal from James on Tuesday.
The 25-year old is likely to leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer as he managed a mere 1824 minutes of playing time last season and was primarily used as a substitute in most of his appearances for the club.
He is one of the best young forwards in Europe and there are plenty of potential suitors that are keen to sign him in the summer. The likes of Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain are all linked with a move for Rodriguez this summer.
However, it remains to be seen where the Colombian will end up next season after a disappointing season with Real Madrid.
