There has been a whole lot of rift going on in BCCI as Guha and Dravid wrote letters to BCCI about their dual roles. If BCCI formally adopts the new conflict of interest rules at its SGM on June 26, the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid will have to forego their dual roles.
It would mean that Gavaskar would have to choose between live match commentary and his management company while Ganguly will not be able to head a state unit and also comment on the game on TV.
“The Lodha Committee’s reforms are not targeting anyone individually. This new conflict of interest rule is laid out in principle and the BCCI SGM will have to adopt it. Whosoever has a conflict can’t be seen doing two jobs,” CoA chairman Vinod Rai told TOI on Thursday (June 15).
