Barcelona's Transfer Plan For The Summer Window Revealed In Depth 1

Spanish outfit Barcelona have had a rather lacklustre season under the previous manager Luis Enrique in his final year as all they could manage was the Copa del Rey on the final day of the season.

The club has already replaced Enrique with former Atletico Bilbao manager Ernesto Valverde and are looking to make wholesale changes to the squad this summer.

They are sure to bring in some of the finest talents in Europe but that will mean that they have to let go of a number of players from the current squad at the club.

And according to Spanish news outfit Marca, they are readying themselves for a mass exodus this summer.

The report suggests that Barcelona have no intention of bringing back players from loan and are going to sell out most of them before the start of the next season.

Two youngsters who will not be happy with this decision are Sergi Samper and Munir El Haddadi.

While Samper failed to show enough consistency last season to warrant a place at Camp Nou, he has done enough for Barcelona to keep him beyond this season and he is expected to leave the club on another loan deal.

He is back to the Camp Nou from his stint at Granada but has not place in the first team next season.

Similarly, Munir El Haddadi was also out on loan, at Valencia, but he failed to have any kind of an impact on the club and may not find too many chances at the Camp Nou.

It is understood that he could be sold out permanently, but that Barcelona will insert a buy-back clause as they are aware of his potential.

Defender Thomas Vermaelen was also sent out on loan last season to Italian side AS Roma. Though he is now back in Spain after the loan deal was terminated, he is not expected to play for Barcelona and should be sold this summer,

Douglas, the right back who spent his season at relegated Sporting Gijon, may once again be sent out on loan so will Christian Tello as they continue to improve.

The report goes on to suggest that if these sales are not enough to raise enough cash for new transfer targets, Barcelona will also consider selling Arda Turan, Jeremy Mathieu and Rafinha if needed.
