The entire cricketing fraternity was left stunned thanks to an incredible batting performance from Pakistan. The men in green, termed as the underdogs for this big final against India, came out all guns blazing as they were powered emphatically by their batsmen. Opener Fakhar Zaman scored a superb century, the first of his career as he ensured that his side had a huge total to defend in what can be termed the most important ODI for Pakistan since the last few years. Things began scratchy for Pakistan as Zaman looked off color and was even dismissed on a no ball. That no ball eventually turned out to be extremely costly from Jasprit Bumrah as from that moment, Zaman was on fire. The Indian spinners were taken to the cleaners by all batsmen and the two spells from R. Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were severe for India. Not even for a single over did the Indian spinners look to be in command, as they were often taken to the cleaners. Just as it seemed the men in blue were back, a resurgent cameo from the veteran Mohammad Hafeez got the team to a daunting score of 338. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was India’s best bowler as he bowled his heart out on a pitch that was treacherous to bowling. Fans on Twitter reacted throughout the game and below are some of the tweets.

The other good thing with Fakhar getting out is Rameez will stop saying 'Fakhar' in a British accent. It's sounded odd.#INDvPAK

Mohammad Hafeez's strike rate in overs 41-50 in ODIs is 138.03 compared to his career SR of 75.21. Ideal for number 5 and 6 positions. #CT17

Gamble this to bring @JadhavKedar at this late stage. But @imVkohli needs a couple of overs desperately

Babar's wicket could signal a late turnaround. Pak look short on power hitters. India have chance to restrict score to around 300…
