Saina Nehwal beat Kim with ease 21-15, 21-15 to enter the quarter finals of All England Badminton Championship 2015 this evening. It was a good performance by the ace shuttler from India as she played some excellent badminton throughout the match.
In the first game of the match, Saina Nehwal began off to a good start. Saina Nehwal played some excellent stuff at net, rallies and also smashes. Saina Nehwal began well to take an early lead at 9-6 and reached 11-6 at break. After the interval, Kim got four points at a stretch but Saina used her experience to get the game back in her favor. At 19-12, Saina asked for a review but the decision went against her though finally Saina Nehwal won the first set 21-15.
In the second game, Saina Nehwal used the challenge in the first point of second set itself and got the point. The Indian player was leading 3-1 in the opening stages of the set. After that Saina continued to dominate the game and lead the game 9-4. At the interval, it was 11-5 in favor of Saina. After the interval, Kim got 3 points to make it 12-9 but after that Saina played an attacking game and did not allow Kim to comeback in the game. Saina won the set 21-15 and the match 21-15, 21-15.
In the quarter finals, she will face Chinese Wang Shighan which will tough test for the ace shuttler. Saina has to play some aggressive badminton if she has to beat the Chinese wall.
