The Pakistan incumbent team coach, and former Pakistan pace superstar Waqar Younis has accepted that Misbah-ul-Haq’s squad require to beat bigger teams like South Africa in order to recollect their confidence and demonstrate the world that they are among the main contenders to win the International Cricket Council Cricket World Cup 2015. Pakistan won two consecutive matches against Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to collect four points in the Pool B table, and will next face South Africa in a match on 7th March in Auckland.

The Dawn reported, focusing on the squad’s consecutive win, Younis said that it surely changed the behavior of the players because a victory always make one feel cozy, calm and confident. However, he further added that he still feels that the team need to get a victory against a bigger name like South Africa to tell the world that they are around.

Accepting that his squad has the capability to defeat South Africa, Younis said that of course they can win, they had done it in the past, and they had defeated South Africa in South Africa. Earlier in the World Cup, Pakistan had faced two back-to-back insulting defeats against India and the West Indies before registering their first victory.
