Chelsea are lining up a shock striker transfer for next summer. According to recent reports Crystal Palace are in talks with Chelsea to bring Loic Remy at Selhurst Park in the next transfer window.
Alan Pardew has marked Loic Remy as his dream summer signing. After guaranteeing Palace’s safety, Pardew has now started to plan for next season and he wants to build a team around his former player Loic Remy.
Remy was prolific while playing for Pardrew, scoring 14 goals in 26 appearances. Since moving to the Stamford Bridge, Remy has failed to have a similar impact. With Chelsea in talks to sign bigger name strikers like Icardi, Destro & Dybala it seems as if Remy has come at the crossroads of his Chelsea career ad he wants a move away from the club as well.
Remy’s playing time for Chelsea has been limited to substitute appearances only. His only start in the league came when Diego Costa was suspended and Didier Drogba was not 100% fit. Mourinho must decide if he wants to sell the striker in the summer or not given how in spite of his limited he has managed to score 3 goals and 2 of those came against Spurs and Man City.
Crystal Palace will have to cough-up as much as £12 million for Remy’s signature. Given how high Pardew rates Remy, Palace owners will have to splash the cash to bring the Frenchman to Selhurst Park. Remy’s current contract runs till 2018 but the striker needs more playing time to prove his claim to play for his national side.
