Arsenal’s defender Gabriel Paulista has been ruled out of football for three weeks after being subbed off just after 37 minutes in their over QPR in premier League.
Gabriel has recently joined the Gunners from Villareal for a reported £11.3m and the talented defender made his third start since he arrived at Emirates Stadium. Arsenal are at number 3 trailing Chelsea and Manchester City in premier league table.
He is set to miss out the FA Cup clash against Manchester United on Monday in their pursuit to retain FA cup with the Gunners boss himself confirming the news.
Wenger said: “It’s a hamstring. I don’t know, it’s bad enough to come off. It’s usually 21 days, not years!”
The news means Gabriel joins Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy and Abou Diaby in Arsenal’s injury list. However the good news is Wojciech Szczesny is back from injury and will be expected to play against Manchester United on Monday.
“He has a test today. If he gets through that he will play on Monday night,” told the Gunners boss.
