Italian giants AS Roma are reportedly interested in Manchester City’s mid-fielder James Milner are reportedly ready to offer £18.1m to get his services. The English International is yet to sign a contract eextesion with the English Champions Manchester City.
The winger is expected to leave Etihad Stadium if a potential suitor makes an offer for him as he will available to sign a pre-contract since his contract will run out at the end of the season.
It is also reported that Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini has held discussions with Milner and he is expected to move away from Manchester City as Roma also provides Champions League football next season.
Milner have only started twice in Champions league for Manchesster City and would like to have more playing time which might not be provided by City as they already have Silva, Nasri and Navas in their ranks and Milner would be a surplus to their requirements.
Earlier Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested as he has the ability to play in central defense also. Roma are also reported to pay £100,000 per week over a three-year contract after tax.The wages would amount to £15.6m, plus a £2.5m signing on fee.
However, AS roma will also be careful with their transfers as they might get FFP sanctions if they go beyond the limit in transfer window this summer.
