Arsenal failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in more than a couple of decades and Arsene Wenger almost lost his job.
But the French manager has signed a contract extension for a couple of years and is now looking to make improvements to the first team to help his side back to its best.
This has seen the club linked with some of the finest stars in world football but Arsenal should also work hard to keep their star players at the club beyond this transfer window.
One such player constantly linked with an exit is Spanish full-back Hector Bellerin.

The former Barcelona man is one of the most exciting full-backs in Europe at the moment but has not been able to show enough consistency for Arsene Wenger, who decided to bench him for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain late last season.
And it is now understood that Bellerin is unsettled and is ready for an exit this summer.
Bellerin wants move
According to reports from the Sun, the 22-year old full-back has spoken to Arsene Wenger and has told him that he wants to move back to the Spanish Capital this summer.
The Gunners will not be too worried about this situation as Bellerin only signed a six-year contract extension last October and is expected to stay at the club for at least another couple of seasons.
The 22-year old joined the Emirates back in 2011 as a teenager and grew through the ranks at the club. He has now grown into one of the best in the league and was also linked with a move to Barcelona last summer.
But it is now understood that Arsene Wenger is not ready to let him go and that he will do all that it takes to keep him at the club beyond this summer.

Barcelona growing desperate
However, Wenger’s comments have not stopped the Spanish giants from lurking around and reports today suggest that Barcelona are planning to make a move for the defender in the upcoming days.
The Catalan giants sold Dani Alves a couple of windows ago but have not been able to replace him, with the likes of Sergi Roberto and Aleix Vidal not impressive enough.
And it is now reported that they are ready to make a £35m for Bellerin, which could be enough to land him.
This price will be a record for a full-back, crushing what Manchester United paid for Luke Shaw not so long ago. But do you think Bellerin will move to Barcelona this summer?
