Arsene Wenger endured a tough campaign in the Premier League as he failed to take his Arsenal side over the line, missing out on a place in the Champions League for the next season.
The manager will now be looking to make some drastic improvements in the squad and will have to shell out some big money for his top transfer targets this summer.
The Gunners have been linked with some of the finest stars in world football at the moment and one player they are close to landing is French striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The Lyon star is currently one of the best strikers in world football and has been in terrific form, smashing goals for fun in the League 1.
He has been at the top of his game for more than a couple of years now and is expected to complete his £52m move to Arsenal in the upcoming days.
Previous shirt numbers
The 26-year old is expected to complete his medical in the middle of the week and Arsenal are set to announce his signing any day now but what will Lacazette wear in his time at the Emirates?
The French striker’s move to AS Lyon back in 2013 and has been sporting the number 10 jersey for the club in all these years.
However, Arsenal have Jack Wilshere registered for that number for the next season on their official site.
The English midfielder spent the previous season on loan with AFC Bournemouth and might be off-loaded on a permanent basis giving Lacazette his preferred shirt number.
The 26-year old also sported the number 17 and the number 38 jerseys in his youth career and could be an option for him at the Emirates.
Vacant shirt numbers
However, the sales at the club that are expected this summer might allow Lacazette to find another number at the back of his shirt next season.
Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez, who has been at the heart of everything Arsenal have achieved in the last couple of years, is linked with an exit extensively and his number 7 is optimal for Lacazette.

Spanish striker Lucas Perez has not been able to impress the manager and may be sold.
He is in charge of the number 9 jersey, which could also be stolen by Lacazette next season.
Fellow French striker Olivier Giroud is also linked with an exit and his number 12 could also be vacant come the start of the next season.
All these numbers are options for Lacazette, who could be announced any day now.
