Derbyshire all-rounder Shiv Thakor has been arrested by the local police after allegations of an indecent exposure to two women on two different occasions.
The 23-year old was suspended on full pay by the county outfit last week following the allegations. The former England Under-19 star, who was named Young Sports Personality of the Year at the British Asian Sports Awards, was alleged to have indecently exposed himself at a housing estate in Derby.

The news was confirmed by an official statement from Derbyshire on Friday (July 14). The club, while making it clear that the player is still suspended on full pay, restrained from revealing anything else citing legal reasons.
“The club has been advised that one of our players, Shiv Thakor, has been arrested by police investigating allegations concerning the player when he was not on duty with the club,” Derbyshire said in a statement.
“In consultation with the player’s representatives, the player continues to be suspended on full pay pending the outcome of the investigations. For legal reasons, the club is unable to comment further at this stage,” it added.
