Head Coach, Ravi Shastri, who is known for his commentary skills while being at top of his voice in the commentary box, was equally passionate and fired up to wish the women’s team – to take the maiden coveted trophy home.
“Go for it ladies give it to the Poms,” maintained Shastri in a video message after a two-day warm-up match was drawn with Sri Lankan Board President’s XI.

As this World Cup has witnessed many surprises, the players from both the teams have given their hundred percent in the tournament, before spending quality time in nets – to work on their shortcomings and executive of plans against each other in the team meetings.
Interestingly, Mithali’s India would be relying supremely on their top-order after trouncing Australia, which has further boosted the morale of the team, as seniors on the team, has vowed to give a hard fight.
