The Indian Women’s team is currently on the verge of creating history at Lords as they take on host England in the final of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. The match has created a stellar buzz among the sport loving community and has ensured that they were glued to the television at the time the two skipper – Mithali Raj and Heather Knight – walked out in the middle to flip the coin and mark the beginning of the final contest to decide which team would eventually earn the prestigious honour.
Prior to the start of the game, Twitter was filled with the best wishes for the ladies. Akshay Kumar, Aakash Chopra, Gautam Gambhir and many others tweeted motivating words for the Mithali Raj led side.
But, while the celebs and fans made the pre-match ritual exciting, things turned more propitious when Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a series of tweets to motivate the team.
It was not a normal effort. PM Modi tweeted special tweets for each one of the members who were announced in the playing XI starting from skipper Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur to relatively lesser known names like Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Poonam Raut.
In all, PM tweeted a total of 11 tweets!

Maybe This Guy Has Some Role Too
Ironically, popular twitter comic, who goes by the twitter handle of Sargarcasm, may be the one who could have actually reminded the PMO about the upcoming event. In one of his tweet, the ‘funnyman’ thanked PM for acknowledging his request of wishing the ladies in the same manner in which the Men’s side was motivated ahead of
the Champions Trophy finals.
Thank you @narendramodi for listening to my request. Good to know you read my mentions
