Unlike last year when the 4th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League was launched without an opening ceremony, we might be in for a fascinating ceremony this time around. The previous tournament kicked off immediately after Bangladesh’s home series against England but this time there isn’t any prior matches and the management have got enough time to stage an opening ceremony.
The BPL Governing Council has decided to start this year’s IPL with a rousing opening ceremony which is expected to feature some of the well-known singers from the Bollywood circuit. Arguably the most hit Bollywood singer currently Arijit Singh will be performing during the opening ceremony ahead of the first match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 31st October while the main tournament will begin from 2nd November. Meanwhile, there is no doubt about the fact that Arijit Singh is one of the enterprising singers in the Bollywood industry currently and is the first choice of most music directors. He has been the voice of Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan on many occasions and has been the preferred singer for any genre of songs.
Be it a melody or a romantic number or a party song Arijit nails it all the time. It is the feel in his voice which has enabled him to make so many fans all across the globe. Before becoming a singer Arijit used to work with Pritam Chakraborty as an assistant director before singing his first song in 2009 in the film Murder 2.
The song name was “Phir Mohabbat” and though he had just two lines to sing in that song, it was enough to prove that he had a matured voice who had it in him to rule Hindi music. He came into the limelight with his romantic number “Tum Hi Ho” from the film Aashiqui 2 in 2012 and from there on it was a roller coaster ride for the sensational singer. He received many awards for that particular song which won him many accolades.
In the coming years, he kept on giving hits after hits and established himself as the No.1 singer. Not only he is a Bollywood singer, Arijit also sings for Bengali movies and has given innumerable hits in that language too.
