Liverpool vs Manchester United never fails to disappoint us as there is never any lack of excitement, talking points, controversies and in between of al that few match-winning goals. It was all there when Manchester United visited Anfield.
For both the sides, only a win was on the agenda because such has been the competitive nature of the Premier League this season that race to finish in the top 4 this season is getting tighter and tighter. Coming in to the game, United led Liverpool by 2 points and with a win today the lead has been stretched to 5 points now.
Juan Mata scored two beautifully finished goals while Daniel Sturridge’s goal did threaten a Liverpool comeback. All could have been different had Gerrard kept his cool and did not get himself send off for a stamp on Ander Herrera.
