No Manchester United fan will forget 22nd March 2015 in a hurry, rather it will go down as one of the days to savour in United’s history. Anfield had eluded the red devils of a win for last 3 seasons and prior to the match Van Gaal touched on that aspect and said, I know United have not won at Anfield but now I am the manager and it shall change.
It did change for good as Van Gaal’s tactics outplayed Liverpool’s fluent midfield and helped United to stamp their authority on the game and take out the victory with a 2-1 scoreline.
