The 33 year old proteas south paw feels that he can think nothing bad about his career now and that he is all ready to prove his worth in this years IPL where he will ply his trade for the Delhi Daredevils.
Morkel who was injured with an ankle problem felt that it was tough to get back from injury and that he is looking forward to working with Gary Kirsten at the Daredevil franchise. This is his first season with Delhi Daredevils. He moved to Delhi from RCB after he was sold by the CSK for the first time since the start of IPL.
Albie who could play only one Test for the National side was tipped to be the next Lance Klusner but couldn’t find the consistency needed. His last appearance for the Proteas was in the T20 world cup in 2014 and the fact that the South Africans have shown a slight weakness in the all rounder slot, The elder Morkel may just find his way back into the national team.
The allrounder felt that he has seen many ups and downs in his life and that he enjoys playing cricket and that he still has a few years left on him. His last innings in a domestic game helped seal the Titans win a 50-over title.
Morkel explained how he evolved from a kid who wanted to win every match and prove every critic wrong to a player who knew his strengths and stopped worrying about the negatives around him.
