Chelsea are the latest to join the race for Valencia’s left back Jose Luis Gaya. The defender have already drawn interest from Premier Leeague clubs such as Manchester City and Arsenal along side European giants Real Madrid.

Gaya has emerged as one of the finest young talents in La Liga this season. The left back broke into first team after Juan Bernat have been purchased by FC Bayern Munich last season.

The 19-year old have been under the radar of Manchester City as they are set to leave Kolarov this summer and Chelsea who are expected to sell Filipe Luis this summer. Valencia tried to tie him down by offering a new contract which would see his buy-out clause rated at £35m.

The defender rejected the new contract and will now be available for just £13.2million which will see all the clubs go after him. Chelsea are also considering the option to exchange Filipe Luis for Gaya to make the deal happen in their favour ahead of other clubs.

One major threat for Chelsea would be Real Madrid who might hijack the deal and can put the left-back in Spain. The defender is rated so highly that he is named as the best young full-back in the world.
