With 368 boundaries in 117 matches, captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders and also the defending champions, Gautam Gambhir is on top of the list of players to hit most boundaries in IPL. In the past 8 seasons of IPL, Gambhir has represented and led two teams – Delhi Daredevils and currently Kolkata Knight Riders. Gambhir has great record in IPL, all he needs to do in this season is justify the record he holds and also make a comeback to the Indian cricket team.
Second on the list of Batsman to hit most fours in IPL Virender Sehwag, with 334 boundaries. Sehwag has been the long time opening partner of Gambhir, both on state as well as national level and both the openers probably have a last chance to prove their worth and make a comeback to the Indian team. He is one of 3 players in IPL , who have hit 300 or more boundaries.
The third player with 300 or more boundaries is Suresh Raina. He is the latest entrant in this list, with 303 boundaries in 130 matches.
4th on the list is Dhawan with 297 boundaries in 96 matches in IPL. He is the closes to 300 now. Closely following him is Robin Uthappa with 296 boundaries in 120 matches
Next on the list of Batsman to his most fours in IPL is Sachin who doesn’t play IPL anymore.
