Manchester United are reportedly trying to sell Robin Van Persie this summer and his replacement has already been lined up. Man United have been prompted to sell Van Persie due to the public rift between PSG’s Edinson Cavani and Laurent Blanc in the Marssiele vs PSG game over the weekend.

Manchester United have been trying to sign Edinson Cavani for a long time and Cavani’s recent feud with Blanc has opened the door for Louis Van Gaal to come and get his man. To make room for Cavani, United need to sell one of their current strikers and unfortunately it is Van Persie who will have to make way for Cavani’s arrival.

Robin Van Persie has not looked the same player since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2012-13 season. Persie, who helped United to snatch the League title from Man City in his debut season with United was hoping to work with Sir Alex on a long-term basis but Scot’s decision to quit affected Van Persie the most and the Dutchman has seen a continuous decline in form over the last 2 seasons.

Louis Van Gaal’s arrival was seen as the move which would bring Van Persie back to his old-self. However, injuries have prevented him to play regular football for United this season and ultimately it seems that Van Gaal has run out of patience on his beloved Dutch star and is ready to sanction a move for Edinson Cavani which would mean Van Persie’s exit from Manchester United.

There are any suitors who would like to sign Van Persie in the summer. Leading the race are Serie A giants Juventus and a surprising interest from Turkish team Fernabache. Van Persie will take his time and decide as to where he wants to pay his football next season. Van Persie is currently injured and will miss the crucial Manchester Derby next weekend. It would be a thing to be seen, whether Van Persie will ever play in a United shirt again.
