Manchester United and England star Chris Smalling is the latest football player to join the social bandwagon of twitter. Smalling has gone for a more obvious handle with @chrissmalling being his twitter handle. In a span of few hours, Smalling has 37k followers on his profile which is expected to grow later today.
Chris Smalling has started by following many of the United stars who are already using twitter. Smalling is following the likes of Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Ashley Young, Phil Jones, Chicharito, Ben Amos and Daley Blind
Smalling has seen a massive rise in his performances on the pitch and perhaps that is one of the reasons why he has decided to join twitter now because lately a growing section of the United fans have started to accept him in the starting 11.
Smalling joined twitter few hours ago and was quick to post his first tweet which said, how he feels excited to be a on twitter and reveals that it is better late than never to be a part of the most popular social network medium.
