Two legends of Indian cricket, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag never back out to appreciate any achievement made by an Indian in any field.
This time it was the Indian dwarf sports contingent which just came back from the World Dwarf Games also known as ‘Olympics of little people’. The games were held in Toronto, Canada.
Virender Sehwag, who achieved enormous accolades in the field of cricket took on to Twitter to congratulate the contingent which won 37 medals in all, which included 15 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals. Sehwag wrote,
“Wonderful effort by Team India. Standing tall with 37 medals (15 gold) at World Dwarf Games known as ‘Olympics of little people’ held in Toronto.”

This tweet was followed by another tweet by the great Sachin Tendulkar in which he praised the dwarf contingent for winning 37 medals and giving the nation more reasons to be proud of. Tendulkar wrote,
“37 reasons to be extra proud of #TeamIndia’s performance at the #WorldDwarfGames. 15 Gold, 10 Silver & 12 Bronze. Outstanding achievement.”
The Indian dwarf contingent finished 10th out 24 countries that participated in the Games. The two cricketing legends were not the only two to congratulate the contingent.
Politicians too took on to the social media platform to applaud the achievements of them. The dwarf contingent despite facing so many difficulties and financial problems made the country proud on the global stage.
