Hafeez, who was banned for suspect action just before the ICC World Cup 2015, remodelled his action and underwent an official test at a ICC accredited center in Chennai in the second week of April whose results got declared today.

Hafeez was reported in November 2014 after the first Test match between Pakistan New Zealand in Abu Dhabi. Hafeez had failed the initial test, which was performed later that month. Two on-field umpires in the Test match were Rambo Martinesz of Sri Lanka and Rod Tucker of Australia. Meanwhile, Match referee on duty in first Test was Andy Pycroft of Zimbabwe.
The off-spinner, who has taken 211 international wickets across the 3 formats, can now resume his duties as a bowler.
