According to the leading Spanish newspaper El Confidential, Real Madrid and Manchester United have agreed a fee of €20 million for the Mexican striker Javier Hernandez.
Javier Hernandez has been on loan at Real Madrid for this season. Chicharito’s stay with the Spanish giants was under serious doubt until his Champions League heroics for the Los Blancos.
In Real Madrid’s 2nd leg of Champions League Quarter Finals against Real Madrid, Chicharito was the only available striker to Carlo Ancelotti and despite not getting regular playing time this season, the Mexican striker proved his worth to the Madrid fans with a superb game on the night.
Chicharito carried a constant goal threat throughout the game and he got his due reward in the end when he scored the winning goal to seal Real Madrid’s spot in the Champions League semi-final.
Chicharito’s scoring form continued in the League as well when he netted 2 goals to help Real Madrid secure a 4-2 win after coming from behind away against Celta Vigo. Hernandez’s golden run prompted the manager Carlo Anceotti to admit that the Mexican striker in indispensable at the moment.
No sooner, El Confidential have reported an agreed fee of €20 million between Manchester United and Real Madrid which could come as a good news for Hernandez who was seeking for a new club to play regular football next season.
For United, they could have found a new leverage in completing their long due signing of Gareth Bale. Real Madrid are tempted to sell the Welshman and United could benefit in the deal with Chicharito being a part of the player & cash swap deal in the summer.
