In the latest ICC ODI team rankings announced today Australia have double their lead over the second ranked Indian team from six point to 12 points while West Indies, Bangladesh and Pakistan are now locked in a tight struggle for the remaining two slots in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 whose cut off date is 30th September.
Australia are the top with 129 points followed by India with 117 points. The third place goes to NewZeleand who has jumped beyond South Africa. England had the loss of surrending seven points dropping to sixth place behind 5th ranked Sri Lanka.
West Indies are with 88 in 7th place whereas Bangladesh are in 8th place with 88 points and have overtaken Pakistan who are in 9th place after losing ODI series 3-0.
It is great news for Cricket fans to see Bangladesh perform well in such manner. Pakistan are in real danger of missing out on the Next ICC champions trophy to be held in England in 2017.
