After spending some time with under-par contributions to the team, MS Dhoni has grabbed the limelight against for the thing he is known for – winning matches for India.

The last few months, there has been a lot of talks about MS Dhoni’s growing age and his effectiveness in the fresh looking ODI side. Much of the skepticism arose due to the debate surrounding building the perfect team for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Things turned a bit more serious after chief selector MSK Prasad openly stated that MS Dhoni was no longer an automatic selection in the squad and can be replaced for better options if needed.

MSD roars back with back to back fifties

The ongoing ODI series against Sri lank has witnessed MS Dhoni register two back to back fifties in the 2^nd ODI and the 3^rd ODI. Both the knocks did not especially witness the fireworks which Dhoni normally creates.

But both the half centuries came in a winning cause, where he was part of crucial partnerships that pulled out Indi out of trouble and leading all the way to victories. Therefore, the fans are all proud and happy. His recent performances have clearly indicated that there is still a lot of fuel left in his tank.

Clarke impressed

Former Australia skipper Michael Clarke expressed happiness after watching MS Dhoni. He also congratulated India for their recent performances in both Tests and ODIs.

The Virat Kohli – led side has had a wonderful tour so far. The side registered a 3-0 whitewash over the hosts and have now pocketed the 5- match ODI series by going up 3-0.

India still has two more ODIs left to play and will culminate the tour with a one-off T20I fixture.
