A part of the World Cup winning team, David Warner, who plays for the franchise from Hyderabad and has scored more than 40% of their runs this season once faced a ban in the national team due to disciplinary issues.
At a time when Australia lost 4-0 to India in India and then lost the Ashes to England, before not being able to win a single match in the Champions Trophy, Australia also had other issues when the board decided to ban 4 players for disciplinary actions during the tour to India.
Warner who was not actually punished in India lost his place in the side due to a twitter altercation with some seniors and also because of the incident where he allegedly punched the England batsman Joe Root in a bar at night.
Talking about this time Warner said that at that time he had stayed in India away from his family for not less than 14 weeks and that he had a lot of personal stuff going on back at home which did not let him have his mind at the right place.
He said that he could not give excuses for what he did and that he rang up Joe Root after the incident which cooled down both the parties and that the English media had its day with the silly incident. Warner also felt sorry for the then coach Mickey Arthur, who was sacked during the incident because he felt that he may have had a role in his sacking.
However after finding a place back in the team Warner has never looked back and now looks to be the most important part of the Australian team.
