Ever since the IPL has come into existence there have been a lot of questions about the commitment of the international player towards the league and KKR coach Tevor Bayliss felt that the IPL is not at the standards of international cricket.
Trevor said that though the IPL contains a lot of star players it has not been able to live up to expectations. He added that it was one of the reasons why players like Umesh Yadav and Morne Morkel are successful in the league but have not be able to have the same amount of impact in International cricket.
He also added that the extra ordinary performance that the fans are able to witness in the IPL are because of the high octane intensity during the three hours that the local get to watch the match and that this helps certain players bring the best out of themselves.
Having lost one of the most important international players due to strict ICC rules, Trevor said that Sunil Narine is still working on his new action and that it will take a bit of time to work out what is going wrong.
Talking about his latest win, he said that his team ware playing to their strengths and that during the beginning of the season they used quick bowlers who could extract bounce from the beach and that now after a bit of games played on the same track that they are able to use spinners to dictate terms in the match.
Trevor also said that Brad Hogg who came in as a replacement for Sunil Narine was not sure whether he would be playing this season and that he was able to adapt quickly to the needs of this season and that he has been a great bowler for them this season. He said that his success is due to the less number of chinamen bowlers prevailing in the cricketing world which is making him harder to pick up.
