Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar recently took out some time to meet struggling middle order batsman Suresh Raina who is currently vying for a comeback into the national team.
After chatting with Raina, his former teammate, who entered the Indian dressing like an 18-year-old back in way 2005, Tendulkar posted about the meeting on Instagram. In the picture post, the batting legend is seen discussing with a bat in his hand while Raina lent a keen ear to the words of experience.
Let’s hope the pep talk helps him regain his status back in the Indian team.
Earlier this week, Suresh Raina was named the captain of the India Blue team for the Duleep Trophy. The tournament will be held in Kanpur and Lucknow from 7 to 29 September and provided Raina with at least two games to prove his worth and place is the case in front of the selectors to make a return to the Indian team.

Preparation in full swing
Raina has spent the spare time out of the side focussing on improving his fitness levels. Earlier, he announced his association with two renowned names from the fitness world – Behrooz and Hung Nguyen – to help him with his fitness regime.
Behrooz is a fitness trainer based in Amsterdam, while, Hung Nguyen is a two-time Dutch Physique Champ and a high-performance coach who focusses on mindset & lifestyle betterment.
Last seen during IPL
The 30-year-old southpaw has been out of the team for a while now and must be desperately seeking to revive his international career. He last played an ODI for India during the five-match home series against South Africa in 2015. After the series, he was dropped, and his only major appearance has been in the 10th season of the Indian Premier League where he led Gujarat Lions in a forgettable fashion.
