MS Dhoni is a man of many numbers and records, which gloriously belong to him. Be it wicketkeeping, batting or his numbers as a captain; all stats portrait an excellent image of the great man. Since giving up captaincy, Dhoni has become a far relaxed keeper batsman, and the same has been reflected in his wicketkeeping and batting so far.
During the ongoing fifth ODI against Sri Lanka at Colombo, Dhoni became the holder of yet another proud record, as he became the first wicketkeeper in ODI cricket history to affect 100 stumpings. It is a feat no other wicketkeeper has accomplished, with Sri Lankan great Kumar Sangakkara taking the second spot.
Dhoni effected the world record stumping on the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal as Akila Dananjaya was well short of his ground when he challenged the gloves of MS Dhoni by walking down the crease. Below, is the video of Dhoni affecting the world record stumping.
In the fifth ODI, there was yet another collapse for Sri Lanka, just like the rest of the games as the batsmen stuttered in the last few overs. Despite a decent stand between Angelo Matthews and Lahiru Thirimanne, the wickets fell in a heap, and pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar ruled the roost with four wickets.
