Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has lashed out on the incident that took place in Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh.
49 new born babies were killed due to the lack of oxygen supply at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Farrukhabad. The news comes as a shocker after a similar incident happened in Gorakhpur which claimed 63 lives.
Three doctors, including the Chief Medical Officer, were charged and also sacked from their jobs after the incident. The Chief Minister’s office sent a team to investigate the incident while District Magistrate visited the hospital last night.
Gambhir, who is among the cricketers who contribute to the society, was furious with the incident and expressed his displeasure in his tweet. He has been working towards the betterment of the lives of many people through his foundation over the past few years and has shared his frustration over the lack of humanity. Gautam Gambhir tweeted:
“While Gorakhpur was still gasping for breath, someone suffocated Farrukhabad…& humanity too.”

India is developing, and first and foremost thing to be done by government is to improve the medical services provided to the common people. CM Yogi Anand and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should take more proactive measures to ensure such incidents do not happen again.
On the cricketing side, Gautam Gambhir was not picked for the upcoming Duleep Trophy season, and his future looks uncertain with increasing competition in the Indian team. However, he will be looking to play a massive role in IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders.
